The Official #1 Tennessee vs Kentucky SEC Tourney Game Thread (Saturday Time TBD EST SEC Network)

I would imagine Seacrist is used today. Vitello will probably want to get him some work before the Regionals.
Ever who is left that is available could come in at the right situation. I trust this coaching staff. They have all the data on all the pitchers and know where they should be successful. Now this is another win or die situation hope who ever they call on will be successful. GBO beat the gahtars. ⚾

Joyce wanted to be a starter whenever he first came here so I think Vitello throws him out there and tries to get at least 3 or 4 innings out of him. Then I would expect to see Zander for a couple innings. Then pretty much everyone in the bullpen should be available. Probably will see Sewell, Kirby, and Walsh if Joyce/Zander can give us 6 combined innings.

Good Morning Volnation! Leaving Sp Hill (35 miles south of Nashville) by 8:30 and arrive around 11:30. Grab a bite and to the stadium to watch our Vols.

Win or lose, I look forward to the experience spending time w my 19yr old son. Im happy he decided to go w me instead of opting out to hang out w his buddies.

Say hello if you see me as I’ll be wearing my black Vollie Fingers shirt. Love to meet some of you!

Safe trip and happy bonding time, neighbor-to-be! Moving to Muletown soon.

PS. COVID hit my family so cancelled our trip to Hoover. Have 5 general admission tix for today’s game that are less than Ticketmaster. Email me at volsgo678@gmail.com. Go Vols!

Sorry to hear that, taylorvol. Some of my friends (who've had the disease before, as well as the "vaccine") are dealing with it again, too.

If you have more confidence in the doctors who've been scientifically challenging the pronouncements from the CDC, the WHO, and the Fauci... here is practical medical advice from their organization for families coping with the disease (who don't have preexisting health complications or comorbidities).

Hope everyone in your household is able to enjoy the game.

Thank you sir. We’re on the mend but the timing really stinks! We were really looking forward to our first Hoover experience. #1stWorldProblems. Go Vols!

Have the statistics on the Burke blast been posted anywhere? I have gone back through several pages but have not seen them.

On another front. MY PERCEPTION was that the ump was giving strikes below the knee and in the first base side river, especially on the first and second pitches to ESPECIALLY on our batters. Game is over and emotions now out of play, so what say you?

It is apparent that TV has limited our guys to eye rolls and step backs when our guys are at bat. That can change the dynamics of plate appearances. A couple of times when they actually showed some side shots of suspect calls some strikes on Honcho were mid shin at best. His knees are where they are and the strikes should be called accordingly. I am getting more and more in favor of electronic strike zone assistance once it is perfected. High and low will be tougher but crossing the 17" plate should be pretty simple if a holographic view of the plate Iis possible. If it does not break the area above the plate it is a ball. Judgement will be limited to bottom of the knee to the letter area for the ump. If he pushes a button and the machine confirms the plate width a strike is awarded. Even if machines differ a little, it would be consistent.

It was the height of the ball the was the most impressive………
