I expect that Tony will have a very quick hook for any pitcher he throws out there today. He has about a dozen arms available (everyone is available today). I'm guessing he'll start pulling pitchers as soon as he sees any signs that they don't have it - especially if they walk or hit batters or ND is barreling up our pitches. I'm guessing Tony will alternate between types of pitchers - first a hard thrower, then followed by a soft thrower, etc, etc.
I'm glad Chase is starting today. I would tell him to just do what he's been doing all season long, but no need to save himself for a 7 inning start. Just let your inner Goose Gossage go, give it your max effort on every pitch, and empty the tank whenever it naturally empties, and the same for any other pitcher who gets the ball today. Don't conserve energy!! We have the advantage in pitching quality and depth. This is the day to maximize that advantage to the fullest extent possible.
GO BIG ORANGE!! GO VOLUNTEERS!!!! JUST WIN BABY!!!
