I’m not sure losing one game is going to knock us off the top-seed line. It could, but baseball is all about winning series. Again, not sure I care much about whether we’re #1 or #2. The difference in competition is likely minimal and if anything it just motivates our guys even more as they’ll feel like this dominant season wasn’t properly appreciated by the committee and they’ll be out to prove it.

Maybe the team with 17 Q1 rpi wins (compared to 11) that has won 10 games against top 10 rpi teams, and secured the championship in the best conference in college baseball. also the same team with best ERA in the nation all while leading in many offensive statistics. Just a guess.
