The Official #1 Tennessee vs UGA Last Home Series Thread (Thurs. 7PM EST ESPNU) (Fri. 5:30PM EST SEC Network) (Sat. 1PM EST SEC Network+)

So much for OSU “sweeping their way to the #1 seed” I was told yesterday.
So.....with Stanford hosting the pathetic USC next weekend and holding the tiebreaker over the Beavs......

The supposed "best team in America who is definitely worthy of jumping the BaseVols though they trail them in almost every stat" is probably going to have to sweep UCLA just to not finish 2nd in the weak PAC12.

I got that about right?

My starting lineup for Senior night:

Seth - 3B
Jorel - 2B
Trey - DH
Blake - 1B
Christian M - LF
Kyle - RF
Christian S - CF
Logan - SS
Charlie - C
Ethan Smith - P

Are those all seniors?

Nah. I'm not worrying about actually playing the seniors.

I'm in that school of thought that we learn from Mississippi St and Vandy last year. Take a lot of R&R over at least the next 7-9 days.

Mixed emotions about how hard to go at it in Hoover.

Want the tired team members to begin ramping at start of June and play 3.5 weeks of great ball. I vote for heavy rest for Jordan, Drew, Evan, Luc, etc.

But, I can see both sides of the discussion. It is a fine line between resting and getting rusty. But, I'm ok with losing 3-4 more games before the NCAA starts. And, dropping out of the # 1 spot.

It will interesting to see how they handle it.

Other season ticket holders-

I know the “premium” seats got their post season email last week. I guess the normals like me get ours this week.

I’ve been told two things by UT. A few weeks ago, “yeah, getting your normal seats shouldn’t be an issue in the post season”. Then, that changed last week to “nothing is guaranteed. Premium seats get their pick, and then we’ll see what’s there.”

I was under the impression the mess last year wouldn’t be repeated, but I admit I’m a bit concerned. I realize they have 4 schools to handle in the regional, but….idk. I just want my pair and I’ll be fine. Anybody have any idea how it’ll work?
I called this past week and was told we’d likely see something once it’s official that we’re hosting or perhaps a few days before. I asked about allotments and they said we’d likely only be offered the same number of season tickets you hold. The girl said they’re trying to figure out how many student tickets there will be and where they’ll put them and that’s holding up the process. Tony wants as many students there as possible but they have to balance the season ticket holders and opposing fanbases.

I’m concerned about the pricing. A fellow VN poster told me he spoke to a lady who has 2 MVP seats and she was told $800 for the pair for regionals and wouldn’t be allowed to use the MVP room because it will be reserved for the media. Believe regionals were in the neighborhood of $75-$90 last year, and based on the MVP prices I’d have to think, normal season tickets would be priced somewhere north of $150/ticket.
