I’m gonna start an online petition to officially change his handle to chuckiebewbzWe’re going to have to rally today. @chuckiepoo has got us covered
No reason to transfer. Luc is leaving after this season and he will be 1st on the depth chart of a national championship contender.Interestingly, if you listen to the interview of Burke, Burke says “we get few at-bats, actually VERY FEW at-bats,” which shows his frustration of not playing much. That kind of worries me that he might be in the…….you know the word. I hate to even imagine the possibility.

Don't want to rain on any parades today, but as a long time (and long suffering) Oriole fan, I don't think Davis has (or had) the swing you would want youngsters to copy. Long and inefficient, not direct to the ball, too much wasted motion dropping his hands, costing him time, and very brief path in the zone with that upper cut. He was so strong that he could make that work as a youngster, but as he aged it all caught up with him, and we know of his struggles around here for three or four agonizing years. He was a terror for pitchers for a few years there, but that swing betrayed him later in his career. To make the point I'm trying to make, study Nelson Cruz's swing and note his hitting longevity.
I think it has to be Knocksville because @mad4vols already has the art work done. Now we need to rename the outlying counties.
I’m not saying to copy the swing, it’s just who Burke reminds me of, during Davis’ prime years. He made it work for him over a 5 year period and ended up with almost 300 bombs. That’s pretty darn good. I would to study Miggy’s or the Man Ram’s swing if you are right handed. Sweetest right handed swings in baseball imo. For a lefty, there’s several to choose from lol. Griffey Jr, Ted Williams, Tony Gwynn, Ichiro, Chipper, etc. The list could go on for lefties.Don't want to rain on any parades today, but as a long time (and long suffering) Oriole fan, I don't think Davis has (or had) the swing you would want youngsters to copy. From 2012-2017 he hit 223 homers and 557 RBI for an average of 37 HR 93 RBI over 6 seasons. Pretty darn good production during those years. However, he has a killer good contract. Amazing what the birds were willing to pay for a guy who hit like .198 or some such.
Do you think he was on a performance enhancer early career? Or, age simply caught up?
As you say, at one point, he had the Bryson DeChambeau swing of baseball. Seems like he mighta hit 50 dongs leading off one year? Then, he just lost it.
