The Official #1 Tennessee vs Western Carolina Wednesday Game Thread (5:30PM EST)

Here in W. TN (Jackson area) we're getting 40 + mph winds. Bad storms are at the Mississippi River.
This line of storms goes from the Gulf of Mexico all the way up and into the State of Michigan. It's a doozy & packing tornado warnings everywhere.

Please stay safe! That line of tornado - laden storms pack quite a punch.

Stay safe, also hope you don’t lose power.

Actually I got to see one pass by a couple of blocks over from my back-door one time years ago. They move across land & down the street very fast. When the weatherman says to get to safety now .... they mean NOW.

Talking about CTV, how would you rank what happened last weekend, knocking off the #1 team in the country at their place in the manner that they did? Most impressive achievement?

Well, the story on exactly who is Ole Miss this year is unwritten. Just because they were ranked early as #1 doesn't mean that truly are that good. So, as of now, I'm not sure just how impressive that was (obviously it was very impressive, but you're asking about relative impressiveness). I'd say so far the most impressive thing was getting to Omaha after such a long absence for the program.

Everybody talks about how special last years team was, what were some of your favorite moments?
fellow CHS Blue Raider alum Cam Sewell shutting out the gaayturrds in the SEC semis (along with all the dramatic and historic HRs / GS that were hit).

Yikes. That must've been a surreal sight to see. And yes, when the weatherman warns you to find safety, it's immediately.

When I was 4, I saw a wedge tornado in Indy. I was visiting my relatives and we had to take shelter in their basement at night. The sudden pressure blew out the garage window and I recall seeing a wedge tornado nearby. That image will always be seared into my memory.

I'm not aware of other posters here .... but, we have an Emergence Alert System on our cable that comes on the TV at random. It takes complete control of the TV. You can't change the channel if you won't to. It's good to have but the thing is very annoying because it repeats it's self over & over for minutes w/the loud siren going off in the background.

Evan's LSU game - and the way we won it too.
Evan's Vandy Game & Will Heflin's Pitching Performance
Beating LSU - 5 times -
Max's Arky HR
Shawn's Game at SC
Sewell - Shutting Out Florida in Hoover
Beating MSU and Alabama at Hoover
just so many moments in 2021....so far being undefeated in SEC play for the first 6 games!!!!

Literally happened in Panama City, 2 weeks ago! My wife turned on the local news and immediately the meteorologist is saying, take shelter now!
Passed less than 20 minutes from where we were staying.
You guys stay safe this evening and keep checking in, if able to do so.
GBO!!
