Her dad's plane. He is a pilot and her brother is getting his license. Her dad was/is a missionary pilot. Was full-time and now does it part-time. They were in Alaska as missionary pilots before moving to Johnson City where we met them. When I found out who she was, I was relieved. Great family. Her dad and I were good friends when we were in church together. We both grew up in South Georgia about 45 minutes apart so we had a lot in common. They flew down to Hoover last year for a day and stayed for the entire week. When he went to meet her parents, again, he turned off his Life360 so his mom would not know where he was and harrass him about who this girl was he was going to eat with. Interesting how life goes full circle some times. Great young lady from a great family. Hope they make it as a couple. She is good for him.Great story indeed. I need the story behind the Cessna that they were posing in front of in the picture?
Thanks for the great rundown. If they both stay in His will, they'll make it just fine - be it together or with someone else. As a dad with college aged boys, I totally understand "hoping he finds a good one."Her dad's plane. He is a pilot and her brother is getting his license. Her dad was/is a missionary pilot. Preacherman, you just keep doing the Lords work and we’ll overlook the whole South Georgia thing. Her dad's plane. He is a pilot and her brother is getting his license. Vitello said he may pitch this wknd against Auburn
Hadn't heard that...that's great news.
I'm really looking forward to this weekend. For all the talk about Georgia, I think Auburn is the best team left on Tennessee's schedule. Taking 2 of 3 from them is huge.
Hopefully, Dolly is available and can combine with Tidwell in the Saturday game.
Imagine the Ahbum's hitters facing Blade in the 1st through the 5th then have to see Dolly from the 65th and 7th?!?! Shall I say, SIT DOWN BOYS!!! LOL
GBO
I'm thinking we may see something down the road like what we saw with Tidwell and Sewell on Saturday. Tidwell for 5, Dollander for 4, that's your game. I don't see Dollander pitching 4 innings this weekend, but when he's fully ready to go, that could be the case.
But more importantly, come postseason, you have Burns, Beam, Tidwell, and Dollander who are all aces as starters, then you have Sewell and Sechrist, who can also be superb starters. That's 6 starting-capable arms. If Tennessee slips up early in a tournament setting and has to move through the loser's bracket, we will be quite prepared.
