You are exactly right. Situational hitting has been my concern since the beginning of the season. Against quality pitching, you have to produce runs when you have the chance. Way too many poor at bats with men in scoring position.

I know two or three at bats we’ve either popped up or struck out with a runner on 3rd less than two outs. That’s more what I’m talking about. Putting the ball in play and taking easy runs instead of strikeouts is what I think we’re referencing.
