I didn't think the team was top 10 this year. They have surprised me being able to win big games. I would be perfectly fine attributing these bad losses to being out 2 starters. But they freaking had a fantastic showing against Bama and so now I'm just back to being confused as to if they're actually a good team or not lolThe sky is falling!!
I don’t think anyone would call you a negavol, you’re a very reasonable poster who’s around for good times and bad. But idk, I also think the whole idea that fans have to stomp and scream when the team doesn’t play well, else they have a “loser mentality”, is childish. I’m not a coach nor a player for Tennessee basketball. My outlook affects the team’s performance 0%. So why force myself to be super angry and upset?I just think it’s unfair to try and say fans should be okay with losing by 20 at half to a bad Kentucky team, which feels like what half this board is doing. That’s a loser mentality. Anyone that is upset with this pretty putrid performance is immediately labeled a nega-Vol or told their expectations are unreasonable.
I’m under no illusion that today was going to be easy. The line was -2 for a reason. This was going to be a dogfight. I even thought we might lose! It should be an evenly matched fight. But, this team has completely no-shown on both offense and defense.
We need to get healthy obviously, but it’s just not acceptable to be getting clobbered like this and anyone trying to explain it away as not a big deal is just gaslighting people.
I just don't understand how every player on the team has suddenly become terrible offensively. 3-4 weeks ago we were absolutely crushing teams. Scoring 70+ each game. Now it's a struggle to get to 50. Can't throw it in the ocean.
If there’s no light at the end of the tunnel, why are you here? Why are you watching at all? I’d simply not tune in if I thought this team wasn’t winning another game all year.I think collectively most fans have felt that in February regarding Vol basketball. With the loss today, they will be 2-4 with every loss coming to an unranked team. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.
How do you figure we’re top 5 in talent and depth? And you’re really suggesting a 20-6 team with the wins we have shouldn’t be ranked? Those are two impressively bad statements, no offense.
You cant coach lack of size. UK is just playing over ZZ and SV, have posted SV up several times. We just dont have the length to play with this UK team. If we had JJJ today hed be on Wallace and it would make a huge difference.I haven’t watched the last few games. It’s better for my health that way. Not sure what the issues are, but they seem more complicated then the coaching staff can figure out. Hopefully it gets sorted. If not, they’ll just keep doing the same stuff and be home after the first round … again.

And again, I agree that this kind of performance is unacceptable for a contender. I’ve just never thought us a contender. And for a top 20ish team like I think we are, a dud like this isn’t completely outlandish given all the circumstances. Again, especially when we’re without what I would consider our 2nd and 3rd most important players. I’m not trying to gaslight anyone, if people want to be upset sure, but it’s just simply not the surprise people are treating it as
