Phillips is top 5 on the team in ever per game stat, I mean sure it'd be nice if he was scoring 12+ a game and grabbing 8 rebounds every night but he is still a freshmen regardless of what his star rating or HS rank was, it's a different game playing in the SEC.

He's also leading the team in FT attempts and makes. Second on the team in 2 point makes and attempts. Has as many total blocks as Uros and Awaka combined... he has earned ever bit of his 25 mpg. Just hasn't really gotten comfortable with how TN is played in the SEC. I hope he's back for another year, the experience this year will be invaluable for what he needs to work on in the off-season and him returning would fill a big gap losing Santi/JJJ will leave.

I’d like to see what evidence you have. It may be just a hunch for you but your hunches don’t go very far for me.

YES! thanks for posting this! And I saw on Basilio’s blog a post where JP’s stats compared to every other 5* player in class is leading nearly every statistical category! People need to read just a little bit more!!!! Jeez

Yeah, he made his moves quickly and decisively last night. I feel like earlier in the season he would spend all day backing down his defender only to put up a bad shot, but the last few games he has been attacking and finding space a lot better.

Maybe just finally getting comfortable with his role in our offense?
