The Official #11/#9 Tennessee @ Florida Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, ESPN

Milton didn't lose them that game. He's a solid QB who if you get him moving he's going to struggle like most QBs at this level. He had some very nice throws tonight. Both TD throws were darts. The throw to Thornton was likely his best of the year. He missed squirrel bully a foot. His worst throws were the two balls he ran into the ground. The last one against McCoy he had to move his feet. I actually think Joe played his best game tonight that's hes played this year.
“A solid QB”?? At one point Fowler said, and I quote, “Our stats department just came up with an interesting stat. At both Michigan and [Tennessee], Milton has NEVER thrown a touchdown while on the run. They’ve all been with his feet planted.” I’m sorry, but if you think that’s “solid QB play”, then I have to agree to disagree my friend.

I completely disagree. It will work out and has worked out. When you have the right guy running it. Milton’s not the right guy. If the play calling didn’t tonight wasn’t enough evidence that this staff doesn’t have faith in Milton, I don’t know what is.
Even if they don't have faith in Milton, the play calling just won't work in the SEC. You can't run that vanilla of an offense and be successful in this league.

So, if Milton can't run Heupel's usual offense, what we've seen is his second choice for an offense? That's not encouraging.

Guys, clearly this staff doesn't believe JM can successfully throw it intermed or deep middle and thus switched to sideline stuff all game long and in the AP game too. So my question is this......why didnt Huep stand up and say "this team is a far ways off". Prepare us for this crap if you already knew it was a FRAUDULENT team. Heup should have managed the narrative better. Playcalling never gave us a chance. Running the clock before half down that far? A give up move among many other questionable strategies.

Which is why Heupel needs to sit down with his staff and make a tough decision. Ride it out with Milton, or see what Nico’s got.
