What a bounce back for us. Hopefully we can bottle up that scoring and keep it with us. If we score reasonably close to that, we can make a deep run and beat truly anybody I believe. We did this with Santi even having an off night. We need to be able to do that more consistently, which has been the problem.

Nutty stat: We have outscored USCe 170-87 this year. That hurts.

Barnes wasn’t too friendly with Bob in the post game radio interview. Barnes barely looked up at Bob as he signed items the entire time. But he did crack on Bob near the end. Something like he didn’t expect Bob to be able to use such a big word.

Then when Mashack did the player interview, Barnes stayed in his seat next to him and was messing with JM to try to get him to goof up. He tugged on Mashack’s chin hair while JM was talking.

Other than playing around with Jamai, CRB looks like he’s all business right now. Might be a good March for TN this year. Need some luck, favorable matchups, and refs that will let them play in the opening week like they do in the later rounds.

Phillips may be hurt.... I think he is lost in figuring out his role.. His skill and mindset is to be aggressive but but his leash is short compared to screwing up like Vescovi who is less talented... Barnes hasn't trusted Phillips enough and it has rattled his confidence... We need Phillips to take that next step and trust his ability

Had to screenshot this exchange from one of their boards several hours before the game started, this is semi amazing given the Vols won by 40 on the nose.

Kind of weird that Barnes doesn’t trust Phillips since he’s playing him 25 minutes/game.

Trashing one of the best players on the team for one of the worst, based on performance, tags you as someone we can’t take seriously. Phillips avg 9 pts a game Vescovi 12.3…best of all Vols. Rebounds about equal. Assists Vescovi 2.9 to Phillips 1.0. I like all Vols. Phillips is young and will get better but, Vescovi has earned his playing time.

Edwards looked much better during his couple of minutes last night. But let’s not get too crazy just yet. USCjr is hot garbage. But they are a step up over Bearden, Farragut, and Webb as an opponent.

Guessing he is encouraged by staff and teammates to shoot his way out of his post shoulder injury trends. Saw him flex it a bit after his hit and at least one of his misses. Need his historical percentages to return if we are going to go far in the tournaments. Might, might not. One way to find out in game conditions. Our whole offensive flow suffers if our 2 guy in not drawing extra attention from the 3 line by opposing defenses. Passing and driving lanes suffer and late in clock shots result. We seem to help by being a half step late on creating passing lanes and making the passes when defenses back off a bit. At least according to my untrained eye.
