I’ll get roasted (about officiating) but the refs didn’t cause us to lose this game. Teams have to play through every call, bad or good, and adjust their play as the game is being officiated.

Auburn had too many open looks and easy layups. We lack speed which hurt us today, along with missed foul shots (less than 50%), stupid fouls and turnovers. We shot 50% from the field and I think form three but still lost.

While we shot well, we don’t have a “go to” guy which has been our issue all yr. Our bigs play small, so we can’t count on them consistently when we need a basket. Santi, Phillips, and JJJ try but lose control of the ball, or travel, inside the the paint.


We were up three late in the game and then went scoreless in last four minutes.

I have hope as that is what the dance brings us, but I doubt we will go deep into the tournament. Every team we play has their best game against us while we make mistakes or missed foul shots at the worst time. Officiating can impact a game but we must stop the shoving under the basket (Uros) and other silly fouls.

I don’t think we have the guards to go beyond the Sweet 16 as every possession becomes critical and this team seems to panic in the last five min of a close game. ZZ said it best when he said this team doesn’t have a “go to guy.” While it’s nice in theory as this team shares the ball, most teams have someone who can eliminate a scoring drought or make a basket at any given moment.

I love Awaka’s hustle and how he can develop offensively. Mashack has the heart but needs to work on his shot and finishing. Phillips needs to return but his heart is with the NBA so time will tell. Aidoo is hit or miss.

Time is running out for Uros, Santi, JJJ and ON as all four need to move on after the yr.

I love the players and will be traveling to watch them play the first week in the dance, hopefully the second weekend.

Who has to lose for us to stay the 4 seed in the SEC tournament?

Tennessee put up the 4th best offensive efficiency Auburn has allowed ALL season. Today was Auburn second best shooting performance since freakin Christmas. All need to know that Auburn got lucky.

Yeah, I kinda had a feeling the hangover from ZZ's injury would have an impact. We don't have a guy on the floor who had ZZ's handle. I hoped for a clean game, but really it was bound to be like today. Question is can we get enough from JJJ and our front court to have some success in the NCAAT? Never say never, but it's hard to picture much from this team the rest of the way.

I think we can. We'll see. I'm not gonna a freak out over a loss against Auburn at Auburn with Bruce there they were ready to play

We are in no way consistent. We can beat anyone and lose to Slippery Rock at any given time too

YEP, Clarke is out for the season, Dillon Brookes suspended (I think) and Ja is suspended for a few games over weapon brandishing (when keeping it real goes wrong). They are done for this season. I just hope this humbling resets them in growing up... doubt it.

UT has a chance to win out as long as all teams they face from here on out are Top 10 teams.

If they play any unranked teams they are doomed.

Losing ZZ and having Key, JJJ, & Phillips all working through returning from injuries is just a tough way for the season to end.

Hopefully we can figure something out in the SECT and make some noise.

A great season fell apart to just a solid one, but a deep run in the tournament and the regular season ending will be forgotten.

Still had scoring droughts with ZZ, it's a staple of the Barnes offenses . Unfortunately, I don't think we win with ZZ. At least we out rebounded them.

Lol ok...I watch the game. Outside of Awaka the bigs struggle to get 3 rebounds a game. JJJ is a 5 star senior and you can't tell he's in the game often times. ON is what he is.

Auburn had their career day. We shot well considered were on thr road playing a team with their season on the line. No more home teams from now on out...

Without ZZ this team doesnt have a solid primary ball hanlder. Bruce took advantage of that thus the double digit turnovers.
If you want to blame anything blame not having a backup PG ready to step in. I said it earlier this week, but whatever happens with this team happens. We havent had a full deck in a month and wont for the rest of the season. It wouldnt surprise me at all if this team only has 2 more games left this season.

SEC tourney means nothing. These guys just don’t have it. Cannot make shots when you need it. May win one more in SEC tourney or NCAA and that is it. Got some new guys coming in. It will be starting over next year. Hopefully Tennessee will get a few winners in the next group.

Seen a lot of folks saying Auburn was a team with its back against the wall today. Sure would be nice if Tennessee could play like a “team with its backs against the wall” the rest of the way. :D

I kid, I kid. Wait, do I? Yes. I think so. … probably.
