Key is the only senior without an option for an additional COVID year. Olivier, Uros, Josiah, and Santiago can all return if the want to and the staff wants them to return. Just my opinion, but I’d think that Uros is a possibility and even JJJ if he wants to attempt to play a year uninjured. I would think that SV and ON will go play in an international professional league. I also have a feeling that JJJ would take the same approach and go earn a little bit of cash playing in Europe or somewhere.
I think Uros is also likely to go earn money in Europe

The only reason that I think he “might” return is that he’s having a lot of fun. But if Santi, JJJ, and Olivier all move on he might be losing his closest teammates.

I just think that of the 4 with the option, Uros is the most likely to come back for more. JJJ and ON bracketed at #2, and I will be absolutely shocked if Santi returns.

I don’t disagree, but I also think Uros is the one that the staff is most likely not to want back (I know you’ll disagree)…they likely aren’t going to have a ton of room on the roster and they are wanting to find an impact transfer or two.

Senior Night always messes with me. Much respect to these young men for all their contributions to Tennessee basketball.

I'm a sucker for taking the kids to senior night, but unfortunately we can't make it tonight. It's sad because Santi and JJJ are among my kids' favorite players. We happened to be at Santi's first game against LSU (only game that year), when my son was bummed that his favorite player at the time (Lamonte) just had his season end due to injury, but his spirits were raised by Santi's play. We also met JJJ before he played his first game at UT.

If anyone has any pictures or details they can share, we'd be happy to see/hear them!

Good story, Professor. Yeah, JJJ and Santi are two cornerstones the last 4 years. I got to know JJJ’s mom the last few years as she sat close by us. She was very kind and got us back into the family area after the Auburn game last year. Met most of the players, and got some really cool pics with JJJ, Santi, etc. In light of the Alabama issues, it’s good to see a college basketball program that spreads light to the fan base and makes a real difference in their communities. I’m proud of these guys.

I really do not care who we have playing or coaching as long as they win. There it is. I think we have about as good a chance with this team and coach that we have had in a while. The impact of one player is amazing. I hope all our players get healthy and stay healthy next couple weeks, we make our shots, we play our defense, and we manage to not offend the officials.

Honestly Santi is going to be a hard one for me personally to see go. I haven't had the chance to meet him (met ZZ, JJJ, & Uros while filming a meet & greet) but watching him show up and just get better every game and every year and constantly work to improve his overall game and condition himself to the level he has, really inspiring.

I feel like Turner, Kyle, Admiral were really foundation pieces in the first rebirth of the program...but Santi, JJJ, ON, & Uros really have helped the program reach another level. (so thankful to witness us win a SECT title in my lifetime!)

Wrong. I think that the staff might want the other 3 back more than Uros. But I think that Uros is the most likely to go another year and I doubt that they’d not take a 7 footer with that much time in the system.

We’ve met Santi a few times and he’s always been great, but then again all the basketVols we’ve met have been fantastic. My older son beat Santi, Uros, and a number of kids in shootout, but in reality the only thing they were trying to do was knock each other out.

Gonna miss these guys 😢 but not done yet! 😎

THE SERIES

• Tennessee leads its all-time series with Arkansas, 24-22, dating to 1936.
• The Vols own a 15-4 advantage when the series is contested in Knoxville, with Tennessee winning each of the last four meetings at Thompson-Boling Arena.
• UT has won five of the last seven meetings overall in this series.
• Rick Barnes is 3-2 in head-to-head coaching matchups with Eric Musselman.
• Tuesday marks the fourth straight meeting in this series for which Tennessee has been ranked No. 16 or higher in the AP Top 25.
• Tennessee will conduct a Senior Day ceremony at midcourt prior to tipoff Tuesday. This is the second year in a row that the Vols' Senior Day opponent is Arkansas.
• No strangers to raucous crowds, Arkansas and Tennessee rank third and fourth in the nation, respectively, in average home attendance this season.

Former Tennessee coach Wade Houston always seemed to coach his best against Arkansas as each game always seemed to go down to the wire.

I think Uros will return for next season and thanks to all four seniors for their contributions to the program.

You tell me I’m wrong and then explain why I’m right? Lol.

Nope. I don’t disagree that Uros is the one that “the staff is most likely not to want back”. You said that you know I’ll disagree. The staff would rather have Santi or JJJ or ON over Uros IMO. Uros is the most likely of the 4 to return. That’s different from whom the staff wants most.

I gotcha, I thought you were disagreeing about my take, not that you’d disagree…never thought we’d be same page haha.

Arkansas fans saying the same about James, Key and Phillips now getting healthy haha.

Kinda glad this comes a few weeks before March Madness though, will be a good test either way.
Don't lie, maybe James and Phillips, but nobody mentioned Key

I've been Key's biggest critic but he might get some open looks with more healthy offensive weapons around him. He just needs to be that guy that comes in and consistently knocks down the open three if it's available.
