The Official #16 Tennessee vs. #4 Kentucky Game Thread, 9:00 PM ET, ESPN

As long as they don’t go on a run first 5-6 minutes out of the half, I feel really good about finishing this one off.

The first few minutes will be huge and dictate the tone of the half. If you can increase your lead, even by 1, at the U16 timeout, Kentucky is going to start pressing and make some mistakes.

Fulkerson playing high post and using quickness. Everyone contributing on glass. Taking good shots. Penetrating the paint. I think Barnes is correct. We run our offense and we can get good looks. Control Tshiebwe, don’t let Grady get off, and don’t turn the ball over for 20 more minutes.

I was perplexed how Grady got so wide open on his only made 3. We had a couple chances to move the lead to close to 20. Kentucky is probably relieved it wasn't worse with Tshiebwe on the bench. We have to feel good James and Fulkerson got rest and we kept a big lead.

I didn't. The replay from the backboard made it look outside the rim

I am relatively sure his first contact was when the ball was outside the cylinder, but that put it over the goal and his second and separate contact was when it was over the rim. Don't know if the shooter gets a free pass or not. Bet it gets clarified overnight. The fact he totally lost contact before the second contact may be a factor. If a guy shot it and while it was rolling around the rim and there was second contact I know it would have been illegal. Is there a real difference?

Gotta treat this half as five 4 minute quarters. Make adjustments at every tv timeout and keep the aggressiveness. Kentucky is going to be in attack mode the entire half.
