Defense in the paint was definitely missing Pons. We don't really have another rim protector. Other than that, it just looked like the team got up big and mailed it in on defense.

I think the massive minutes they had to play caused a lot of fatigue the last 8 minutes.

How was it not a "T" on Crean at the 1:19 mark? He ran in front of the ref and bumped Springer while the ball's in play and the ref grabs Crean and directs him to the sideline while "arm barring" an assistant who's also trying to get on the court, then whey have to go to video review because he missed whether the ball went out on Viscovi.

I agree. They struggled to cut off the drive on defense and it seemed like when they did stay in front a phantom foul was called. Not blaming it on the refs because they did it on both ends of the floor.

You have to remember, the refs are getting fewer games so they need to get their TV time.......

Watched a little of the replay on secn and this game was never close. Up 21 points at the under 12. The sloppy play the last 5 minutes or so may have left a bad taste in peoples mouth, but it was a really good performance especially without pons..

I feel sure this season's laxness (laxity? ...laxitivity?) is to accommodate for impaired communications through masks.

I learned lip-reading on the basketball court. From 60' away I can still lip read "What the h___ are you doing out there? Guard him--he doesn't need an escort to the basket!"
