What about GS coming back out and nailing GT? Kahuanas!I respect teams like that. Teams that can take a loss like this and turn around and compete in the next game.
GBO!!
Honestly, that’s pathetic competition. Need more of a challenge, esp early in the season.Iona was outscored 1-43 in their last two games
They are 0-3 this year and have only won 6 games in the last 2 years, fired their coach after 3 years at the end of last season.
Tennessee is going to be a big problem for them.
Georgia Southern is a really good team, we just smoked them……..Not to many SEC teams start out with an opponent like GS. Tech is another quality team, I’ll give you UNCA, however we play the a lot since they are relatively close.Honestly, that’s pathetic competition. Need more of a challenge, esp early in the season.
I got an email earlier this week saying we could pledge a contribution for every home run made this season for either baseball or softball. I haven’t been able to find the information on either the Tennessee Fund or Baseball website, otherwise I would’ve posted it.Please give and earmark for Baseball. Baseball is still a non-rev sport and the program is always looking for additional funding

Are ya saying we’re loaded fer bar’?I talked to a couple of scouts tonight at the ballgame. After Ben Joyce was through pitching, I asked them how accurate the speed that shows up on the scoreboard compares to the scouts‘ radar guns.
They told me their guns showed Joyce was topping out at 103 to 104 miles an hour, which almost corresponded to what I saw on the scoreboard (I don’t recall 104 on the scoreboard, though).
I also asked them how how they heard that Joyce was pitching. They said that they had heard a rumor that he would be pitching, so they wanted to take a chance that it was going to happen. One scout said he saw Joyce throw his two pitches this past weekend, “but I can’t write up a report on only two pitches, so I’m here tonight.”
I also asked one scout who from Tennessee he was taking notes on at tonight’s game. He told me it was “proprietary info, but if I named some players he might answer.” I got to the game late, and I hadn’t seen a starting lineup, but I correctly named Joyce, Beck, Gilbert, Stephenson. He said there may have been one or two more.
