I really like Heupel as the coach & don’t want to change but he’s gotta get better at game management. You can’t go for it on your end down there, especially with a lead. If Bama don’t stop You, the refs will screw you on the mark. That didn’t lose the game but it sure helped Alabama impose their will in the Second Half.

This is on the coaches, regardless of how bad Milton is, especially whoever is really calling the plays. Two 1st and goals that end in fgs. Abysmal 4th down play calling as was the overall play calling after we got a a lead.

Something must be done w players going down (bama #77) to give coaches to call last second play with out a timeout. #77 played entire 2nd half.

Unfortunately so far I can't disagree. But I don't get why. The ID is offense, you say you're a running team, if so the #1 priority is OL. And by quality OL I mean effective running against Fla, AL and Ga. I could care less about the SFA's and UCONN's of the world.
I disagree. Play calling is the problem. How do you explain the 1st half success vs 2nd half? Just being real

The SEC should be ashamed. The amount of holding and PI that Alabama is allowed to get away with is ridiculous, then the audacity to call the two “holding” calls on UT to bail out Alabama on 3rd down.

Don’t understand the “revenge” angle by the media. Is UT not allowed to win?

CJH’s decision making cost UT dearly in this game.

Milton is not it. Put the kid in.

Out coached, out schemed, and completely out classed in the second half. Inexcusable is the appropriate term. Halftime adjustments are a thing. Mix in the continued horrible officiating and there aren't many teams who can win with all of that stacked against them.

I'm not sure exactly who is calling the plays on offense or if we're not making the right reads, but there's a lot of them that are just atrocious.

Yep! This has gone far beyond trying to explain it away by saying “ everyone misses calls”, or even incompetence due to lack of of training. Nobody’s THAT damn incompetent. This is by design. Plain and simple.
Plays aside we didn’t finish. We failed when we couldn’t score in the RZ.

I'm pretty careful about crying about the refs, and I save my capital for days like today. We got jobbed.

If we don't shoot ourselves in the foot, we could have still won that game, but we had an uphill battle with how that game was officiated. We should've had a huge advantage in the trenches, and the refs decided they were going to let Bama hold all day. There was no way to stop their offense when they can just grab jerseys like that. They kept on praising the guy blocking Pearce, but every replay they showed revealed he was tugging on shirts. No defensive holding. Ever. No PI. Not a single bad call that went in Tennessee's favor. How is that even possible?

The most penalized team in the SEC had 1 penalty for 5 yards for an illegal snap...and it saved them from a fumbled snap.
