Agree. Tbh I like Stackhouse. Much better than their previous coaches. We’ll see what he can do when Pippen is gone though
He’s lasted longer than I thought he would. I thought he would be wanting out after those first two seasons but he’s hung in there. He seems destined for an NBA job though once he gets them remotely good.

He may settle into a comfort zone at Vandy. Especially if they continue to trend up.

That would suck.

Solid performance tonight. Chandler was outstanding and Vescovi had a nice bounce back game. Also was good to see VBJ have a nice game off the bench. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come for him.

Now on to a massive game against Auburn. They've had our number for a few years now, but TBA will be rocking.

I'm pretty sure Aidoo is perfect from the FT line, this year. So, he has a nice shot with good range. I just think sometimes he rushes his shot in the paint. Really not that worried about it, just needs to continue to rebound, block shots and play pretty damn good defense. Shoots too good, not to improve that shot as he gets more experience

Am I the only one getting excited when Bailey comes in and makes a shot? Don’t recall a shooter like him completely losing his shot his senior year. Was really happy for him at Texas and again tonight. Would really help us if he could regain his stroke.

I know Westbrook has the stats that wow you. Obviously not this year. But I really can’t stand the dude he doesn’t play well within the team flow at all I think KC is a better point guard in that sense.
I'm not saying that he's Westbrook mentally. He's just a very good slasher much like Westbrook use to be.

Chandler needs to spend an entire day with ZZ and just work on free throws. ZZ is practically automatic. Just do whatever the hell he does
Don’t recall a guard as good as KC having such inconsistent form on ft’s. You can usually call it good or bad when it leaves his hands. Makes me think when he gets the form consistent he will be a 75%+ from the line.

Ah I see.. hopefully if can get that 3 point shot up more frequently and make a higher percentage I think that can help his game. He already has like you said that natural slasher mentality not freakish athletic like russel but slithery around the rim like a kyrie.
I think his free throw percentage will go up in time to.

I'm honestly perplexed by his free throws. He was an excellent free throw shooter in high school. He's getting better though, probably just a technique tweak.

Ya I think he’s just rushing em like you said probably just a technique thing along with some jitters that all contribute to the low free throw shooting. I don’t think his free throw percentage right now is an accurate saying of what this guy will be at even this time next year.
He’s gotta get that to 80 percent at least though.

Same problem with the Lady Vols this year... their starting PG is like 40% from the FT line. Never seen that anywhere, but especially in the women's game. But does seem like the players have been trending that way for awhile.

My theory is the increased complexity of the game defensively. The shooter--especially a PG, is thinking "what's my assignment after this free throw?" and that necessary consideration is intruding on their shot focus. Also, their defensive assignment differs, make or miss. The result is, mentally, they are already accommodating a missed shot before they take it.

You would never expect success on a golf course addressing the ball in the tee box while allowing such swing thoughts.

Nice bounce back game, Chandler and Scovi both bounced back from bad outings against Arky. Just going to say this, no doubt Missouri has the smallest fan base in the sec. Congrats to their loyal fans but across the board their fan base is abysmal. I have seen bigger basketball crowds at the Dunn Center in Clarksville than I seen at their games this year. Most of the sec home games are at least good crowds even on weeknights and many pack house nearly every night. Missouri’s base just seems to really be small these days.

It’s at least a 3 year trend

Have y'all noticed the "rotation" on his 3-point shots (made, or missed)? You'll understand why I put rotation in quotation marks...

What's the rotation like on his foul shots? Niekro-esque?

KC and Santi didn’t have bad outings against Arkansas, if the game was called correctly their stats would have been way different

Y’all have been in head coach purgatory ever since they got rid of Flip Saunders. Had what, 1 season above .500 since they let him go?
Yep. And believe me I know its mostly the players that make the difference. With Cade its going to get better but need some help. But as for the coaching I feel like better option than Stackhouse. 😆
