The Official #18 Tennessee vs. #15 Kansas Game Thread, 6:00 PM ET, ESPN

We need to weather the first 4-8 minutes of the second half. I’m praying the officiating doesn’t decide to go to calling every little touch foul like it so often does.

Especially since many of the calls were bull, bailing guys out in the lane when our guys go straight up - rule of verticality still exists right?
Nope. The refs see or anticipate contact and they call a foul. That’s the new “rule”.

Hopefully everybody stays hot best we've done from the three that I can remember. Hit another five think we can go home with this win.

They likely shoot a lot better in 2nd half, so we just gotta stay aggressive and keep out rebounding them.

Also we had them in foul trouble earlier but didn’t take advantage. Can’t fall in love with long jumpers if they stop falling, hopefully we can get some buckets inside.

I don’t think we expected pressure after the timeout. Still a 14 point lead but we **** 61%.

Must protect the ball, take good shots and play good D and limit second shots.

James really thriving in his new bench role. He was outstanding and honestly I haven't had much good to say about him this year. He seems perfect for that role cause we can plug him into the role we need him the most.

I predict Kansas will extend their pressure into the backcourt to try to force is into
more mistakes like we made on the last play.

I don't think the offense has looked any better than when we lose except shots are falling. We get these very same shots every game we play and hopefully they keep falling in the second half. We really don't have much of an inside game so we have to make the perimeter shots and the shots in the paint on the drives. I was kind of disappointed we got them to six fouls with five minutes left and could never get any fouls to get to the line. They got 12 free throws got fouled in the act of shooting six times and made 11 of 12.

I'd like to know how many teams at home end up with 1 FT attempted. Can't be too often.
Pons shot looked excellent, he might should have seen a few more.
Kansas is Kansas so still nervous, but an impressive 1st half.
