The Official #18 Tennessee vs. Ole Miss Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, SEC Network

I am dumbfounded by this team, honestly. I'm not really sure how you fix this offense. It's not just a poor shooting night here or there. It's a lot of poor shooting nights. That isn't going to get it done in March. Not even a little bit.
They look lost half the time, like they don’t know what they’re trying to do

Ye
Yeah, but it keeps happening. At some point it's obvious that it's systematic and something needs to be done to fix it. I think out guys play too tight.
Agree. Barnes’ recent teams feel like they are always playing tight/scared/hesitant on offense. I get and appreciate the need to play solid defense, but it looks like they spend 95% of practice on defense. Playing great defense will allow you to beat anyone on a given night, but won’t allow you to advance very far in the tournament without offensive production.

Yeah when you can’t score there is a pretty low ceiling for your team in March. Like first round exit ceiling. Some no-name mid major with some 30 year old white dudes bombing 3s will knock us out if we can’t shoot the ball more consistently.
I would argue that’s the floor rather than the ceiling based on some previous Wisconsin/Virginia teams.

Hopefully the inexperience is the reason we play like this.

Arizona game we came out looking like we belong. Then we have a game like this.

Not really concerned with the offense. Sometimes you have bad streaks. Ole Miss does have a solid defensive team as well. As our guards grow with experience, ZZ, KC, even Powell, I think things will look better by end of SEC play

Apparently.
Apparently 3 (so far) horrific shooting losses where we struggled to be in the 30% from the field, as well as questionable personnel decisions in late game aren't good enough data. We can surmise that by adding this game being another horrific shooting game there's a great chance we get beat handedly againt the number 1 scoring defense.

As long as Chandler doesn't get a quick 3rd and 4th foul, I can see him playing 15 minutes in the 2nd half. Which should improve the offense

Lol at the halftime announcer saying something like (paraphrasing):
JJJ doing his job… better than the refs in the music city bowl
