The Official #19 Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt Game Thread, 6:00 PM ET, SEC Network

View attachment 433846

Dear Tennessee Basketball Team,

My heart bleeds orange. Y'all have given me the greatest highs and the lowest lows this season. You even puzzle me when you go on these offensive droughts. If there is one thing you could do for me, please beat the kittens from Lexington so I can have a peaceful week. My neighbor is a die hard Kentucky fan. If we lose, I'll hear about it the rest of the month. GBO!

Hugs,

TomcatVolFan
I will only accept a loss if it guarantees us beating them in the SEC Championship game.

well his 3 was 32.5

His overall was 44.2

That means his 2’s hit at a higher % than his overall of 44.2.

Chandler has shot the ball 258 times 80 of which were 3’s. So he has shot 178 2’s.

Chandler has made 114 shots, 26 were 3’s. So he has made 88 2’s.

so he shot 178 and hit 88 (2 pointers) that’s about 49.5%.

Not 40%. It can never be lower than his overall if his 3% is lower than his overall.

Feel free to go “google” as it is one of the first to pull up.

Surely KY can't shoot 70% from the floor two games vs TN. First game was absurd

I'm convinced it was a once-in-a-lifetime situation, with Joe B Hall dying that morning. They were simply all in a zone. Props to whoever gave the pep talk.

That said, it hard to know what to expect. Based on past experience, you would guess that we will do well, as we usually do against them at home.

It wasn’t pretty but it was a W. I like that we didn’t play well and still won. Chandler was awful…until the end when we needed it most. Then he came alive. Good job by him to not let the poor game get him down. Some of those calls on Pippen were ridiculous and he pushed off all night. I got to go to the game and the fans were rightfully giving the refs a hard time. All in all we won without sweating too much. Everyone has to remember that we’re still trying to find our way in replacing ON too. Let’s kick some Wildcat tail!

ky played the same way vs Kansas. Better play damn good defense if they’re focused

It’s a disgrace. He pump fakes and then leans into the defender - or pushes off. Looks like the crap in the NBA that makes it unwatchable for many…
If refs would just let the play go on then players would start actually start attempting to shoot the ball instead of making it a contest of who can make the ref look more foolish. The refs are the only ones that can put a stop to it.

I think he does but he has to be more aggressive. He makes some nice passes on drives and can shoot well when in rhythm. 2 more years in the system and I bet he’s averaging 14-15 ppg.
He had all the same problems at Auburn. Bad foot speed. He doesn’t recover on defense. Doesn’t see the court well. SV came in with a really mature game, and got better at defensive reaction times, and developed his upper body. Again, I hope I’m wrong, but Powell does not look like an SEC basketball athlete.
