That whole crap piece is fabricated. I watched Drew at least 20 times. He glances for less than a second in the direction of their dugout and I think he was actually looking at Spence coming home from 3rd. Then his eyes go immediately to our guys running from the dugout. The bat toss may not have been such a good idea but whatever. This idiot says "I saw [Drew] take 5 slow steps, pause and turn to face Wright State’s dugout and then take 4 more backward while staring them down. If he were a football player, he would have been flagged for unsportsmanlike behavior."

So stupid. Rant over.

It's already raining here in W.TN. Started about 5 minutes ago .... not looking good for the Knoxville game time.

What was interesting was while the Liberty head coach was arguing with the ump at home plate, as the third base ump was walking in to join the discussion, the Liberty pitching coach was repeatedly motioning for the third base ump to go back to his position. Totally dumb move, might've help lead to his ejection a little while later.

Without knowing at what Drew was starting, we can't judge him. He could have been staring the ump down, the opposing dugout, the Vol faithful in the stands, the baserunner coming home, etc. Was it a celebration and posturing bigger than most? Yes. Was it excessive considering the context of the situation? Not in the least.

There doesn't seem to be enough moisture in the system to cause a rain out. Unless the situation changes, a short delay would be worst case scenario.

Agreed. Who is to say he even looked - much less stared - into their dugout? Could have just as easily been looking at his teammate and/or the third base coach. And if he looked into their dugout, it was for a fleeting second, not anywhere close to a stare down. He did not taunt the Wright players on the infield as he passed them by, didn't even look at them. I wouldn't have flipped the bat like that, but it was not done to show up the pitcher - who wan't looking at him - it was simply the sheer joy of the moment. The author of that article is just someone looking for something to virtue signal others about. He thinks he has a superior morality, and wants us all to know it.
