I'm not knocking anybody, but can someone please explain what is so exciting about the draft? I'll check out who the Skins got tonight, but I just don't understand the need for three+ hours of pre-coverage, followed by six-eight hours of draft coverage and then talking about it all night long. Nothing but boring in my book.

I totally get why you'd feel that way. I can't really explain why, but I get so excited for the draft every year. My team doesn't have a first round pick this year (as of right now) but I still made a couple mock drafts with my friends.
I don't get why my father-in-law watches entire golf matches on TV. I don't get why one of my buddies watches NASCAR races from start to finish. I will watch the first 20 and the last 20 laps, but unless I'm there, it gets boring in the middle.
The draft is just exciting to me for some reason. I really like watching teams trade up and down to mix up everything Mel Kiper Jr. has predicted.

i get more into this when tennessee has alot of guys that have declared, so it's not as interesting to me this year. but i still make a case to watch some of it because:

a) i always like to see where the top players end up

and

b) i want to see how the titans fare

it's not like i sit there watching it 5 hours straight though. i just check back in on it from time to time

Not a bad situation for a young quarterback in New York.

You've got Ferguson protecting your blindside, Jones and Washington in the backfield, Coles and Cotchery to toss it around to...

It's not great, but it's a helluva lot better than what Stafford's walking into.

It had been heavily rumored that the Raiders wanted Heyward-Bey...I'm just surprised they pulled the trigger on him at #7.

Kiper Jr's a douche, but I've gotta agree with him....they passed over a ton of guys who seemed like safer picks.

Al Davis is like a 12 year old when it comes to players' 40 times. How many of his "fast" guys have panned out in the last 5 years?

Crabtree seems pissed that he was passed over...he should be thankful he's not going to Oakland.

He'd be much better off going to Jacksonville - let's see if the Jags grab him....

I cant believe Kiper said they should wait and get him later on??? Uh... even I know he wasnt gonna last until the Raiders next pick!

You talking about Heyward-Bey? The Raiders should've traded back because most teams have Crabtree and Maclin ahead of him.

Anyone else doing ESPN streak for the cash? It's making the draft more interesting than it already is for me.
