Andrew McCutchen is the second player in MLB's Modern Era (since 1900) with at least 6 hits and a walk-off HR in a game. Jim Northrup first did so for the Tigers in 1969. h/t @EliasSports

I was watching that game, it was cool. I am a big fan of McCutchen.

Baseball is almost unwatchable with the umpires as the umpires have way too much power and should be dialed way back to make the game more interesting you cannot even challenge their balls and strikes you get thrown out no one pays to watch the umpires

Giancarlo Stanton struck out more in the last week (16 times) than Joe DiMaggio did in the entire 1941 season (13 times).

If you didn't make arguing balls and strikes an automatic ejection, you're liable to have an argument over balls and strikes every half inning.

You're allowed to argue any other call, and oftentimes umps will take a little lip from a player or manager about a ball/strike call they didn't like without an ejection. The Rendon ejection was nuts though. MLB umps absolutely have the biggest egos among sports officials though.

@Max_Scherzer is the first hurler to pitch a shutout, strike out 10+ batters and steal a base in one game since Nolan Ryan (5/16/84 at PIT).

Bryce Harper HR gives Nationals 1-0 lead in 1st inning at Mets.

Harper's 8 HR this season are 1 shy of matching his most ever by the end of April (hit 9 in 2013, 2016 & 2017).
