They seem like team with a lot of talent that somehow manages to come up short in world cup. I wouldn't be upset if they started doing better.

Mine too! Ive been a Dutch fan since the early 90's. My favorite player of ALL time is Ruud Gullit! Loved that era of the Dutch players with Van Basten, Rijkaard, Koeman, De Boer brothers, Van De Sar, etc...

I saw the US play them in Miami in 1998. I got every Dutch players signature except Seedorf. He wouldnt sign. The only USA player I got was Cobi Jones as the rest of the USA players wouldnt sign!

BUT, I will always root for the USA team 1st. I have a feeling we can win this game. Our athleticism will play a big role if we can pull out the win.

My brother-in-law is 2nd gen Dutch immigrant, and I'm really tight with his Dad (1st gen). They made me into a spectating soccer fan nearly 20 years ago, and of course I jumped on the Dutch bandwagon with them. Doesn't hurt that they are always competent and usually fun. So my era is Robben and Van Persie. Watching the 2010 final with them is one of my worst sports memories.
