The Official 2022 FIFA World Cup Thread

Reyna needs to get in this game. McKennie has been a ghost. Aaronsons energy is needed badly, bring him in. Ferreira has done nothing but I don’t know how much you can blame him, middle is clogged bad and he’s not going to out physical anyone.

Also, when was the last time he played? IIRC, he hasn't played (even been subbed in) this WC so far. Seems like a tough way to for anybody, but especially an attacking player, to come in

Imagine keeping Greg Berhalter past this World Cup.

We finally get here and it’s been one of the most bland and uninspiring tournaments I’ve watch USMNT play in 20 years.

The roster is better than this, especially a guy who has sat on our bench in Reyna.

Most of these US dudes play on good European teams and it just doesn't seem to translate to the international side. Not sure if it's coaching or what. The midfield just seems lost to me and thats been a problem with US soccer for a long, long time.

He played like the last 10-15 min of the England game I believe. But yeah, Berthalter has put him in a tough spot. Just baffling that he hasn’t had more time this WC. Reyna has said multiple times he’s healthy and ready.

Is it philosophy?
I was thinking that myself. It’s not like we’re just pulling a bunch of scrubs off the street to throw out on the pitch.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I bolded the part in your post about Jesus Ferreira and was referring to him. I was saying that I didn't think he (Jesus) had played yet this WC and then got a start against a solid side in a lose or go home situation. And I was just saying that it would be tough for anybody, but especially an attacking player that would not be in top form after not playing much recently
