The Official 2025 March Madness Discussion Thread

I jinxed them.
Ha...nah, that's just March. Especially S-16 and beyond. You have to finish teams strong and be damn sure you don't give them any life.

I was serious when I said I hope we watch this game. I swear I could see us losing to KY something similar to this. Have a nice little lead towards the end and then implode and let them hit some 3's to tie/get back in it.
Then go down and make a couple of head scratching shots whilst Oweh comes down and takes it right to the basket.
Chessus Crust, I hope to hell something like that doesn't happen tomorrow. Losing like that has to be the worst way to lose.

Bingo....so glad to be rid of that guy.
Here and in general. His college career is over.
Really what an unfortunate situation.

He was originally committed to Marquette, but Gainey cams down here and convinced him to play for us.

While Aidoo had his soft moments, he did have some big games here. He just committed suicide by leaving Barnes who was developing him, and left for a team full of young talented guys. Just a really bad and dumb decision

He ruined his career

Anything can happen, but I'm putting my money on Florida to win by double digits at least. No way Texas Tech is able to score inside or get as many rebounds against Florida's big men. Tech just doesn't look good at all to me.

Yea they won’t be able to match Florida’s size and if they get down anywhere close to 16 it’s already over.

For those keeping score as it was a topic of discussion,

We’re down to 12 teams and the ACC, SEC, Big 10, and Big 12 tournament champions are still alive

And I have to give you credit/kudos for admitting that.
Me and you didn't really have any major disagreement in respect. You were just basically saying he isn't a good floor coach.
I can see your point, but like I said the other day he is a little better than most give him credit for, and good enough to take a team all the way.

But yeah, my real argument was with the guy that was acting like Cal's best days were behind him a coach in general, and he was headed for the NIT. I knew better than that.
I knew he was at least going to make one run to stick it to KY 😅
Plus he can recruit like no other so he's always going to have talent. His team next year is going to be stacked, too.
I don’t know if you were referring to me here. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the one who initially said that Cal’s days best days were behind him. I just said he hadn’t done anything in 7 years and wasn’t a very good floor coach.

I certainly didn’t say he was headed to the NIT. I’ve always said he’s an elite recruiter and great motivator. This Arkansas team was loaded- so it’s not surprising they made a mini-run. I didn’t see any of the game last night, but I’ve watched Cal teams for 20+ years being from Shelby County. I still stand by everything I said, and it wasn’t really controversial.

Hard to see Texas Tech beating Florida. They didn’t beat Arky because they played well, Arky just imploded. Our march to a Duke-Florida final continues.

That sick feeling in my stomach has returned.

I still think 3 of the Final Four are Auburn, Florida, Bama and Houston/Tennessee.

Call it BVS or whatever, but I think we are best team in our region, but won't believe it till I see it.

I didn’t stay up for the second half and missed Arkansas blowing it. Did I see somebody say Arkansas should have fouled intentionally at the end of regulation?
