Enjoyed the comments this morning. Praying for Bru and family. Hope the rest of the players who went down are ok. We can use the weekend off to recuperate for a tortuous schedule of UGA and BAMA among others. Very good team performance against a middle of the road team at home. We did get that chicken off our back for another year. Still a lot of work to do. Glad Hadden got a pick six. Glad Cooper hung in there the whole game. Great to be a Vol fan win, lose, or draw. Get to be a winner and 4-1 for a couple weeks. I realize most people do not like to hear the "bad officiating" mantra as an excuse. I am not saying it as an excuse but a fact and yes bad calls can completely change the outcome of a game. The officiating last night and at Florida was horrible.

Also, Rattler is actually an elite QB. He’s got some attitude issues which is why he’s at South Carolina instead of another program now. If he can keep his drama limited, he will be playing on Sundays.

I was at the game, but just watched the replay and still don’t understand the rule on the kickoff out of bounds being placed at the 50. SCar accepted the penalty pre-kick forcing us to kickoff from the 20. When the ball went out of bounds, the refs added the 15 yd penalty again moving the ball from the 35 to the 50. Seems we got penalized twice for the same call.

The rule on a free kick out of bounds is the ball is placed 30 yards from the spot of the kick.

The interpretation I had read said the receiving team could ask for a re-kick with a 5-yd penalty, receive the ball 5-yds from the point the ball went out of bounds, or receive the ball at the 35 yd line. It didn’t state it as 30 yds from the kickoff (or restraining) line. Thanks for the clarity.
