The Official #21/19 Tennessee vs. South Carolina Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, SEC Network

So we're tough at home, and can't be trusted on the road. Until we fix our issues on defense, that's just how it is. Having an insanely talented head case as a QB only makes it more frustrating.

Love my Vols, but we need a new DC and DB coach. Both of those are going to cost us wins moving forward this season.

Playing UF, or Bama, or UGA "close" or "tough" is not good enough. You play to win. When you lose, you need to examine the why, and fix it.

We should have smoked UF. UGA is beatable, especially in Neyland, but this team won't. In a season that was ours for the taking, UGA or UK will take the East. Much like how Lincoln Riley almost lost to an inferior Colorado team, Heupel has fallen into the same trap of "good offense, bad defense". And when the offense doesn't produce, well...you lose by 13 to a crappy UF team.

@ Bama, UK, and MIzzou. This team will lose two of those.
TXAM, UConn, UGA, VAndy. I give us UConn and Vandy. If we go 1-1 vs TXAM and UGA, that's a plus. 2-2 is very possible.

So, I'm at 7-5, plus or minus 1. Love to be wrong, but I'm not.

Go Vols.

Geez dude. If all I saw was your post id assume we lost and bad instead of winning by 21. Maybe go take some Zoloft man.

So hard to be a Vol fan
NOPE... we just have a lot of folks that are not good at it at all. Can't deal with their own emotional shortcomings and vent to defer thier pain. Not sure if we have more than our share of those defined as EVERYBODY HAS THEM, or not. You can see their grouping in the LIKES all the time. Big believers in the axiom if you say it or LIKE it enough times it must be true. Easy to spot by the ratio of declarative statements to questions ratio. Rhetorical don't count. Even easier to spot by their mad to sad ratio when things don't go well. Worse yet they really migrate to places where anonymity reigns.

That’s absolutely hilarious after the game last night! There were so many calls that were bad. Where r officials learning to officiate these days??

Considering their play outside of the UT game, I’d almost say we should not be ranked after this week. USCjr is the best team we’ve played this year, but a loss to that trash has long lasting effects
I agree. Kentucky (at home) made them look stupid. We were made to look stupid in the Swamp. Now can we not talk about it any longer? It's not pleasant.

Nice sermon on the virtues of being a good fan vs a bad fan. You do realize that game threads are a running commentary on the events that occur within a game - and are intended to be reactionary! But why stop at last nights game though, go backward and pick any game from any coaching era (win or loss) and you'll find plenty of material for your next sermon.

#Vols QB Joe Milton III said he saw Bru McCoy's injury and he didn't want to go back out and play for a bit. Said it made him sick.

#Vols' Squirrel White on how he made his circus catch in tonight's win over South Carolina: I don't know. I never saw the ball.
This post deserves more attention. I was hoping that "College Football Final" on ESPN would have commented on Bru or Squirrel, but didn't.

Squirrel couldn't see the ball on the play because he was being physically assaulted....

Squirrel and Dylan Sampson had great games. If they can consistently do 80% of what they did yesterday, UT will have a great season. I'm so impressed with both of those guys and they will draw enough attention that someone else has the opportunity to fill the shoes for Bru.
