Yup, lots of once fired model 29’s out there. Seems Hollywood didn’t tell them about the recoil of ole Dirty Harrys sixgun.

Not a 29 but follows your theme; many years ago a local shop had an almost new Dan Wesson Pistol Pack. That's the cased one with the the 4, 6, & 8" interchangeable barrels/shrouds. Apparently dude bought it, shot it, boxed it back up sold it to the shop. This was before the big bore craze had really gone mainstream and they were going to let it go stupid cheap. I was young and broke but still hated not finding a way.

Anyway there was certainly a period of time where if one had the means cruising pawn shops and classifieds would invariably reveal .44's from people who purchased more gun than they could handle. Now a .44 is considered on the lower end of big bore.

Switched out the Geissele trigger I had in the LWRC (sold it) with the mil-spec in one of my FN-15s.

First time I've done triggers since my build. Now I remember why I didn't want to again
