The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

Can anyone explain the federal injunction on the ATF pistol brace ruling? Is it now legal to reattach the devices (if a law-abiding citizen owned them)?
I believe there are 3 organizations (GOA is one) that as long as you are a member, you can still attach them.

Finally got around to breaking in a few of the new ones. My Operator was very comparable to my buddies Vicker's Tactical outside the weight. The rail really makes a pretty big difference. The Platypus is AMAZING. 9mm in a 1911 shoots like a dream.

I knew better, but I tried it anyway. Shot the AUG leftie (most rifles don't matter), this one did lol. Thankfully I can shoot righty.

Buddy also had a Banshee in .300 Blackout. Not really a fan (the cartridge not the pistol).

Anybody have familiarity with an AR chambered in 450 Bushmaster? I've purchased an upper to experiment with. @Grand Vol ?

I will say this...

Thumpers can be fun and you might want to consider the reloading route. You can get cheaper (relatively speaking) ammo choices for plinking since the brass accepts. 45 ACP, .45 Long Colt and .454 diameter bullets. Just standard FMJ or cast lead rounds work well for ringing steel and won't break the budget. It's a small rifle primer and reasonably easy to reload with the straight wall case.

Just don't expect much after 150 yards or so lol. Drops like a rock at 200 and steadily moves down from there.

Yeah, I got it as a fun gun. No real purpose other than steel. You're correct on ammo - $2/round. I found some at Bass Pro for $31.99 for a 20 round box.

I got it as a 10" sbr setup. Have you heard of Bear Creek Arsenal? Found them on the internet. $219 for the complete upper that includes the BCG. Couldn't pass it up.

They are supposed to be one of the better ones I think.

Though if you like it, you might want to look at the 16 inch version as well. Way better ballistics and a good brush gun.

Do you know if the BCG is the same as the 556 or is it different?

I think it's just a bolt swap.

You're gonna want an H2 buffer to start with on that one though. Probably a better recoil spring too. Check out the Springco line. They make an SBR rated line with the Red level. With the Red, you could get by with an H or maybe even a Carbine buffer. Standard spring, I'd run an H2.

Of course, I run H2 and Springco Blue in everything I own lol. So I'm biased.

Does running a suppressor change that? I won't at first but maybe later.
