Heflin did really well today.

Heflin was dominant through 5 with 87-88 mph. He was 84-86 in the 6th and 7th and should have got through that had it not been for an error.

Bingo. Plus the fact that they are being shut down for the better part of these games the last 2 weeks. Shut down by decent not great arms. They aren’t impressed with their sticks against good arms no more than any other Top 10 team.

Im really intrigued to see how Blade looks tomorrow. Hes got dominant stuff when hes on.

Bingo. Plus the fact that they are being shut down for the better part of these games the last 2 weeks. Shut down by decent not great arms. They aren’t impressed with their sticks against good arms no more than any other Top 10 team.

They are very beatable, that's for sure. We just have played arguably some of our worst baseball all season at a time you just can't afford to do so against arms like Rucker and Leiter. I would feel pretty good about our chances against them in a post-season series. We've just stepped on our own feet all weekend with some poor approaches at the plate and some costly errors. Hard to expect your team to beat a guy like Leiter if you spot their lineup 3 runs because of a routine ground ball you sail wide.

To hit the ball this hard and not get more to fall is so frustrating. We were clearly not overmatched by Leiter today which is a good sign. In 8 outings nobody has made him sweat like we have.

He was scared to throw the fastball in the 7th.
That’s why they pulled him.
