Looking at the weather forecast, cloudy this afternoon and evening with 5 mph north wind and 50-ish degrees. Should be tolerable and this field appears to work better after rain than the previous turf. The Friday game looks like it will make without a problem. Saturday and Sunday's games will be brutal cold, windy, may have to remove snow from seats Saturday. Welcome to Tennessee Winter to Springs transitional weather.

More like they scored 7 and went to sleep, forgot they were playing a good team with as good an offense, and just kinda went through the motions. Any day any team can get lucking in baseball. If you are really good, it doesn't take a lot of luck. Texas got lucky with the Vols. Last night we had it and lost it as well as went to sleep a little too early. Later innings pitching was the main culprit but, leaving bases loaded twice, once with two strikes, just no bueno.

Just scanned ESPN+ and they have the game with JMU starting at 3:00 CT. I am assuming they are picking up the suspended game and carry right over into the 5:30 pm CT game. Thanks for the help. Go Vols! No beer and pizza before the games men. Players need to be really hungry after that JMU comeback last night.

IMO those 3 errors in one inning is where the wheels fell off. 1st by stash, 2nd on the pickle, 3rd by catcher interference.

I choose not to feel bad for any USCe coaches. But, I get what you are saying. I do hate to see any player in any sport get hurt.

I will explain the Got Lucky comment... Baseball isn't a game that you can gauge totally off the score or outcome... the word Lucky in Baseball is when an offensive team hits line shot after line shot , or squares up pitches , whatever wording you want to apply. Sometimes everything bounces one teams ways , such as hops , calls , just whatever.... As a matter of fact...referring to Texas... The last 2 times we have played them , there could be a lot said to the fact the a lot of things such as calls , bounces and hops have went their way. Are they Good , yes... but that's my take anyways.... and as far as the JMU game... tip your hat to their hitters , our Bullpen hasn't preformed the greatest in the last couple innings ... maybe we let up some due to a 7-1 lead, maybe we got flat , their pitching was floating in off speed stuff all night and that's just hard to make solid contact.... Baseball is a crazy game and you more you watch it the more crazy it just seems.... BB are a defenses worst nightmare...I hope this helps some to explain the Got Lucky comment.... Anyways Go Vols. Super proud to be a Vols Fans!!!

Previous thread discussed a lot of teams are "really good" including Texas and Tennessee but, sometimes the ball bounces different, no luck, and you win or lose. The #1 Team got the luck Friday night that we didn't. Both very good teams. Some folks do not believe in luck. I do.

My ESPN app only shows the TN versus JMU at 5:30PM. I see not mention of the 4:30 make up game. 😡
