As a Communications Professor, I give him some credit. It’s incredibly hard to have a conversation with just yourself. The color commentary is so valuable during broadcasts for that very reason. With that said, you‘re absolutely right! It seems like he’s yelling every play.

I’m good with young and inexperienced announcers compared to a fixed camera and no announcer in soccer. Be thankful! Ok to provide positive feedback. We at UT don’t need to shoot our own.
