Just got in but have been trying to listen when I could. Burns walked 2 and we had a throwing error, Trey thrown out at home, bats came alive with Luc and Evan. That’s the last I heard. What happened to Burns? Is this RI team as scrappy as they sounded on the radio?

Burns wasn't as sharp today as he's been in previous games. Our defense still has been sloppy at times.

RI is scrappy. They are more competitive than Iona but have 4 errors in the game so far.

Is it better to rough up a RI or Iona or get pushed by a solid team, but maybe drop a few games, early in the season?

I think you have to remember a lot of these schedules were made 6-7 years ago. I think you play a mix so you can play guys and figure out what you have. Plus enough competition to push your guys. We have a good mix. If you’re not sure what you got you schedule some winnable games for record. Schools don’t care who beat you if your record is bad.
