I think you have to remember a lot of these schedules were made 6-7 years ago. I think you play a mix so you can play guys and figure out what you have. Plus enough competition to push your guys. We have a good mix. If you’re not sure what you got you schedule some winnable games for record. Schools don’t care who beat you if your record is bad.
baseball seems to be a technical sport, with timing and coordination. I was just curious if facing one of the guys from Iona(god forgive me, but they were bad) and then seeing a guy like Hansen from Texas, could mess with a guy at the plate?I think you have to remember a lot of these schedules were made 6-7 years ago. I tend to agree with you. Of course, the rest of our pen has been so good (mostly) that it makes me a little biased, but he doesn't seem as sharp as last year.. don't know if its the shorter rests or just something being off. Seems to be working a little extra fast to me, but I was the pitcher who purposefully worked slow so hard to tell for sure.I'd like to see Sewell get a break after this outing. He just hasn't been sharp the last few times out after short rest.
