The Official #3 Tennessee vs. Syracuse Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ESPN

Where’s mah damn Miami Game thread, @YankeeVol ? 🤣

“Fans can catch Tuesday's game between the Volunteers (8-0) and Hurricanes (3-6) on ESPN. Dan Shulman (play-by-play), Jay Bilas (analyst) 🤮 and Jess Sims (reporter) will have the call.

Fans can also listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Steve Hamer describing the action.” -utsports.com
I’ll get it here in a few

You're saying you think it makes more sense for a team that's getting blown out to concede their last few possessions instead of staying competitive? I 100% disagree. I get that you're saying it's a futile effort, but it makes infinitely more sense to try to score than roll over. Have you ever seen UT dribble out the clock in a loss? I certainly don't recall; that's something I would remember.
It happens a lot that the losing team takes their foot off the gas when they realize there’s no hope. It’s usually not dribbling out the clock, but sometimes it’s slowing down and running offense when there’s no time for it. Sometimes it’s backing up and not fouling to extend the game. In football it’s even more obvious. It looks like the losing team running it up the middle or putting in the backup qb. Lots of ways to wave the white flag and not at all uncommon.

I’m in the minority on this, but I’m of the opinion that the winning team has no obligation to slow down until the losing team does this. If you want it to stop, you say “uncle” 🤷‍♂️
