Chill. He did leave Tidwell in too long, but it was a tough decision. Most of the time you get 7-innings of 1-run ball it's time to turn it over to the set-up man and then your closer. Statistics show that the 4th time through the order is rarely kind to the pitcher....

We won. That's all that matters. And Hunley shut it down.

Idk you could make a case for either option. But it’s important to condition him to pitch in tough spots. He did well

Ok. 2 pitches two smoked balls to leadoff the inning says they’re catching up to him. Why do you risk letting the nations leading HR hitter get a crack at squaring up his timing? You can name on less than one hand how many pitchers in this league can regularly make it through an SEC lineup 3x and have earned the right to try. This game had on the line the difference between a guaranteed bye in Hoover and a very possible single elimination day 1 game as well as a locked in top 8 seed and 5 home wins away from Omaha vs. going on the road to face a top 5 team to get to Omaha. Why take the risk? That’s the only question to ask.

Blade deserved to start the 7th and I’m ok with facing the first two. Leaving him in to face Clark was the “mistake” or mistimed move.
