But it wasn’t due to playing scared as you’re saying. Being shut out and going small, ball scared are 2 mutually exclusive scenarios. The ball that the LF caught in the 8th was absolutely crushed by Jake. 2 ft further to the left and he’s on 2nd. The one Franklin robbed him of was absolutely crushed as well. We never let up on making great contact last night.

It wasn’t because they played scared. They faced probably the two best relievers in the conference. Big difference. But...whatever narrative you want to use. You tip your cap to them for two great defensive plays on rope hits.

I agree he is good. But in these games there is no margin for error. If you look at his stats he tends to have a higher number of walks. That would be killer against a team like this. He will get his shot. I like him.
