The Official #4 Tennessee vs #9 Florida Weekend Series Thread (Game 1 Friday @ 6:30PM) (Game 2 Saturday @ 7PM) (Game 3 Sunday @ 1PM)

I would like to go on record, again, with a hearty “I told you so” re: CTV! He was the best kept secret in baseball and the best UTAD hire in a long, long time. Keep payin him! He can coach, recruit, and the kids love him. Also, they have a palpable nastiness on the mound while executing small-ball to perfection. All while being controlled and adequately charismatic with the media. MO will come calling. We need a plan. We need a plan to enjoy the baseball he’s putting on the field, and a contingency in case he decides to go help fix his alma-mater. I will enjoy it while he’s here.
When he gets home, tell him I said good game.

Leiter has thrown 88 pitches after him and Rocker they are just an above average team imo

This is SO great!

Two things and one admission: I thought Buckeye Bob was doing a decent job om the call right up to the point he made a HR out of a long gator fly ball. Rusty did a fair job of covering for him ("it's a dark corner over there in center" - heh, okay).

We are a very tight ballclub. They have a tremendous chemistry, and no one wants to let the team down. They are hardwired to win.

Admission: I've been an Evan Russell fan before this year, but I wavered when he was struggling at the plate and I even suggested other options for LF. Turns out he was merely waiting to take SEC pitching apart. Turns out I shouldn't have counted him out. Go get'em, Evan.

I listen to Wilkerson.

Leiter at 110 pitches.
I’ve not watched a lot of him but from what I’ve seen the key appears to be to make him throw pitches. Stay patient, he’s good for 2-3 walks most games and gets his pitch count up some. Their bullpen is likely classified as average. Get to them sooner rather than later and you have a chance.

I listen to Wilkerson.

He calls a great baseball game and he knows the coaches and players in a way that Kesling can’t. Kesling is fine but it sounds like he’s reading a stat sheet and prepared notes and lofting lobs to Ensor, it’s fine, but I’d love to hear Wilkerson and Ensor do a game.
