How was attendance?
We walked nobody and they walked one, purdy good pitching today by both squads. Should be a wild one later today.
Closing a weekend sweep by winning twice on Sunday is kinda how we do things. From what I can tell from the weather channel forecast, there will be a nice window of low precipitation probability between 5:00 and 9:00 pm with renewed thundershowers after that. If I were making the call I'd move the start time up to 6:00 pm and I think we could get the whole game in and stay relatively dry doing it. But then, what do I know?
Also, forgot to mention, but I thought Chad had a great bounce back tonight after last week in Tuscaloosa.
Oregon and Oregon St. both ranked, tied up, and OSU walks in one, HBP one, and walk in another.
I don’t get the Pac 12 network so I found an audio stream. That’s okay, good announcers, but it’s not where the game is headed and I hate it for the kids. It’s also not in the long term best interest of the conference.
I listened to CTV the other day when asked about attendance and environment, he said it adds to the experience for the kids. Anyone who has ever played a sport understands that and the PAC 12 is failing in that regard.
You can’t play the east coast versus west coast card all the time when you don’t try at all.
The Jankees get way more than their fair share of coverage here in the Houston market and it seems to me on mlb/mlb.com/mlbnetwork.Couldn't agree more. West coast is the extreme example but it's really all of baseball. College baseball gets very little coverage on regular tv. Even MLB coverage is bad. If it's an out of market game, regardless of how good the matchup is, you're not going to see it. I remember, following Derick Jeter's quest for 3000 hits. Those games should have been covered for all to see.
I don’t have numbers, but looked COVID capacity full and a rowdy bunch above home dugout!
Seriously had this been a year earlier or a year later it would have been packed. It will be as packed as it can be tomorrow, weather permitting, a 5 dollar ticket is going for $160
I grew up in south, central FL and was a 6th generation Floridian; family has been in the state since 1846. If there was ever an endangered species it’s a Floridian with zero ties to the Midwest or Northeast. We moved from ET to the gulf coast of AL and its a weird vibe...yeah alot of Bama and Auburn fans but also alot of snowbirds that just said the heck with it I'm staying year round...overheard a guy talking when we were standing in line for Chinese the other day...he said I'm somewhat of an oddity here...someone who was actually born in this city lol
I meant that there are actually TN fans around here. UT is easily the 3rd most represented SEC school around here. Enoug so that we have a North Alabama Alumni Chapter based in Huntsville.I’m a few minutes south of ya. To me it’s nothing like living in Tennessee. I ran into a alabama fan in gatlinburg few years back the day before we played them in football and she was talking ****. It’s like they can come to our neck of the woods and not care they are so good.
Their pitchers will have one more day of rest when we play them because their series with Georgia started on Thursday.I’ve not watched a lot of him but from what I’ve seen the key appears to be to make him throw pitches. Stay patient, he’s good for 2-3 walks most games and gets his pitch count up some. Their bullpen is likely classified as average. Get to them sooner rather than later and you have a chance.
