The Official #4 Tennessee vs Kentucky Weekend Series Thread (Game 1 Thursday @ 7:30PM) (Game 2 Friday @ 6:30PM) (Game 3 Saturday @ 1PM)

I was just watching a video on the "new" way of framing pitches. I am not a big fan of it, especially when catchers are not super good with it. I think some of that led to Greer's passed ball.

I don't mind the one knee as much, especially with no one on base. I like the view that it gives the umpire.

You’re exactly right. I’ll keep saying it, 86-88 won’t work...we have ZERO dominant arms out of the pen
They are in the dugout though. They are INJURED. The pen is doing a nice job over an entire series (won every series save 1) but the coaches cannot help that players get injured.
We also have a few down there with 91-93 velo but if you cannot throw strikes what would you have the coaches do?

That’s the situation with injuries man. The only ones with the velo you mentioned are the lefties. Plenty of arms 90+. But you gotta throw strikes or it doesn’t matter

Aleman started tonight for Florida and have gave up 9 runs in 5 innings. Rocker has given up 2 runs on 4BB, 3 hits, and a HR.
Vandy leads 9-2 and it could easily be the other way around.

Exactly. Pitching in this conference is VERY DIFFICULT. No matter the draft status or how elite the pitcher is. Overall, our guys have held their own so far this season.
