Aleman looked like Nolan Ryan against us. Some of my point was baseball is unpredictable in this league and the main point was that the best pitchers in this league have trouble against SEC hitters. As good as Aleman looked against us he was equally as bad tonight.

What game are you watching? Rocker is not lighting it up but there is no way this could be 10-2 Florida. Vanderbilt has looked like a rec league slow pitch softball team at the plate.

I was watching the game where Rocker walked 4 guys, gave up 3 hits and a dinger in 5 innings with 95 total pitches. He was very very lucky to get out of the 5th only giving up 2 runs. If our starter had those numbers he would have been destroyed on here with pull him - yank him - warm someone up and all the rest.

Still where does stop Vanderbilt from putting up Ten? What has their offense done wrong tonight?
Rocker did not look good and probably should have given up 5 but good pitchers like him get out of jams. Vol fans have to understand that, and yanking someone at every sign of trouble is not baseball. That being said Florida is one swing away from making this very interesting.

We also have a few down there with 91-93 velo but if you cannot throw strikes what would you have the coaches do?

I’m not blaming anyone. Just stating that we’re gonna have to find guys who bring more velo. I didn’t mean my original post as a bash coaches post.
