The Official #5 Tennessee @ #10 Kentucky Game Thread, 8:30 PM ET, ESPN

In before other knob-knockers. "Refs hate us. Refsa cost us a <insert>. Refs love blue bloods. Calipari pays the refs." Blah, blah, blah BS.
Change Calipari to Rupp and you're actually late posting by 80 years.

But if sports is still preparation for real life, then yeah... life is often like playing at Rupp. T'ain't fair--but gotta deal with it.

These "a win tonight erases Tuesday" posts are raising two related questions in my mind:

1) How much you planning to drink after a win tonight?

2) Last Tuesday, or next Tuesday?

I just really hate we lost that South Carolina game. It makes this game a lot more important than it needed to be. If we had won Tuesday, this game would have basically meant nothing other than for bragging rights.
UT always seems to get right up to the door yet somehow just can't walk on thru. '98 being the exception. So many coulda, woulda, shoulda's in our history. That's what amazed me about Bama's run in football. To stay hungry for that length of time and to always somehow make the crucial plays when needed. Just crazy. They believed they'd make those critical plays and they did. We, OTOH, just don't seem to be able to. We expect just the opposite and most of the time, that also comes to pass.

I recall you joining the Downers earlier in the week on a post. I'm seeing a trend...possibly. Watch out as the "sky is falling" may not be far away in your future thoughts. Just sayin'
It's pretty simple. If we're playing like crap I call it out. If we're doing well, I enjoy the ride. Either way I hope we win. I hate UK. They are right there on the same level with the bammers. I am not the type to whine about officiating when it doesn't impact the outcome of the game. Tonight it likely will because we're playing in the "almighty" Rupp arena. Tuesday night, we just sucked other than DK, but even he had an affect on the outcome by not hitting his FTs. Hoping he or someone else has a Fulky like game from a few years ago where they go off and not even the refs can stop em.

Jerry Green was a train wreck at UT, but he did pull off the win at Rupp in 1999 after 19 straight losses there. For doing that he deserved a Kmart gift card.

Barnes is the ONLY UT coach with multiple wins at Rupp Arena.
Jerry green inherited the most talented VOLS team in school history. They could literally play 10 deep and if you would barely see a drop off. Won 20+ games a year but man o man I would’ve LOVED to see Pearl or Barnes with those guys! Wow

Why does our fan base sh!t all over our program? Never will understand it
I want our fans to be excited and to create a great environment for college basketball. Too often, the fans at TBA sit on their hands for some reason.

I'm looking for ZZ to have himself a big game. He's been pretty horrible for a few straight games now. He's due for a good game and this is the perfect time for him to do so

Reactions: Just a VolinTears
I tried being all-positive in the SC game thread and the team responded with an all-time TBA stinker. Tonight, I’m just going to let the play on the court determine what comes off my finger tips.
