Thanks, I remember now. I think his rankings went thru the roof when he played well in a tournament, too.

He’s a freshman and I may be too critical, but I was hoping he could make an immediate impact offensively. He seems tentative and very uncomfortable.

We need more athleticism/scorers on this roster as JJJ and Santi aren’t the answer. They play D and rebound but we need other scorers beyond Knecht and ZZ.

Just seems to me we could dominate this team inside, but were not doing much as we could. Their 12 points to our 4 at the free throw line and our 11 turnovers have kept them in the game.

It’s hard to dominate a team inside when your two bigs struggle to maintain control of the basketball when it’s dumped down low to them. Aidoo continues to be get his pocket picked with regularity this week. And Awaka has a great pass from Dillione on a fast break that should have been a dunk and Awaka just kicked the ball out of bounds.

42 points on 38 possessions to their 37 on 43 possessions. Plus five possessions for them our turnovers kept them in the game as they are only shooting 29 percent from the field, but 12 freaking free throws made is just basketball malpractice.

Agree. We can’t blame the refs every game. The players rarely complain and understand they must adjust and play through it.

I was surprised his statine was that good. He was pushed around multiple times, contributed to a couple turnovers, missed a few key rebounds and rotations.

Frustrating first half. Refs are blowing the whistle when you drive the lane yet we chuck up 3’s? ZZZ with 4 turn overs and JJJ scoreless again. Also, Vescovi sitting too long due to fouls. Clean it up and pull away or let Georgia hang around for a nail biter

Players don’t complain because they can’t. Last thing we need is for them to get a T or ejected. It’s just maddening for the inconsistency. I can’t believe somebody doesn’t review these performances and make corrections at the admin level.
Basketball happens fast. Lots of moving parts. But some of the officials are just incompetent. They should not be able to influence the game they way they do.
