No. They played poorly and lost a game they shouldn’t have. That doesn’t negate everything else they achieved this season. People are rightly unhappy with the performance tonight, but our guys improved game to game all season long.
Yeah the defense has gotten a lot of heat since the Pitt game but they have played a lot better against tougher competition recently than they did tonight. It also didn’t help that our offense was not converting the way they have all season with the exception of the Georgia game.
Remember the Kentucky game, or how our defense stepped up against Georgia? Remember how they made adjustments in the Missouri game on both sides of the ball and looked like a different team the second half? These guys have gotten better and even play quite well at times.
