Teams can change quadrants though. If Ole Miss beats us, they probably end up a Q1 game by the end of the year.

Possibly. I love Chris Beard, but this team is probably going to hover around .500 in the SEC, at best, and will be in the NIT. Going forward, different story.

Saying that - Murrell and Flanigan is a good 1-2 punch.

I remember being as pumped getting ready for a SEC matchup back when the game was only on the radio. It was an event at my house. Supper would be scheduled around the game. It would be burgers, hot dogs or something else appropriate for a game. We would tune in to the pre game and hour or so before, as radio pregames were like TV pregames now. If the game was in Knoxville like tonight, a TV replay with John Ward's call would be on at 10:30 or 11:00 on Channel 2 in Nashville. Sometimes there would be neighborhood get togethers to watch the replay when we were adolescents and early teens

Great memory! Ward could call a basketball game so well, it was as good or better than watching.

Today we find out which of these two teams is worth their ranking. TN doesn’t play like a top 5 team - yet. OM hasn’t played anybody - yet.

Oddly enough, this isn't even a quad one game for Tennessee, so would be considered a bad loss in terms of competing for a potential one seed in the NCAA's later this season.
Today is the day we find out if OM is for real or not. If they win today, I’d bet they’ll be quad1 by the end of conference play.

Going .500 in the SEC should get him 20 + wins and a bid. He does have
wins over NCState and Memphis. Should get a 10-12 seed bid.

I'm thinking that today the Vols' offensive inconsistency proves to be their undoing and with Aidoo's uncertain availability I'm leaning towards Ol' Miss 74-67. Sure hope they prove me wrong and roll big time!
I wouldn't be totally surprised by this, or something similar in a loss. Long season. We have a lot of young players we'll need down the stretch. I know that sounds crazy given the experienced studs we have in our rotation. The younger guys can be the intangible effect we need
