The Official #5 Tennessee vs. Kentucky Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, ESPN

KY played rather avg - the Vols well below avg. You'll lose to a blue blood like that most of the time. My point - not sure KY should over celebrate their "emergence". The Vols just sucked.
Kentucky is average. They played like who they are, except from the FT line. Oh well, a lot of season left but I’d rather have lost to Vandy than UK.

There's a difference between missing bad shots and missing good shots. We took a lot of bad shots, especially at the end. Thats coaching.
Well had they not missed the easy shots throughout the game, it probably wouldn't have come down to the end. And I don't necessarily agree. If a play is called it's still up to the players to execute it properly.

The feeling had had down the stretch of this game will be revisited in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. I just knew what was coming

We can’t miss layups like that. That the one of the main things. Open 3 just didn’t fall and when it looked good. It would just rim out. When officiating takes over the game, it took us out defensively. Pat Adams has zero business doing high caliber basketball games. The free throw disparity was an absolute joke. One of those days were if could have went wrong, by god it went wrong.

Phillips was an absolute non-factor, and that can't happen against a quality opponent (yes, UK is quality, I don't care what their record coming in was, they have tons of talent)

Barnes isn’t out there shooting layups. These are D1 ball players. Hit the f****** layup.

If our players are trying to force bad shots up over and over, that is a coaching issue. Rick Barnes tends to have teams with very low offensive IQ. That Williams/Schofield/Bone year was the only exception, but even that team fell WAY short of expectations when it mattered most.
