The Official #5 Tennessee vs. Kentucky Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, ESPN

They need to wear pink uniforms except for Uros next home game. He came to play. Shame the rest of the team played like girls, regardless of the whistle.

They didn’t even play good. UT just sucked today.

Kentucky played great defense today. They denied us off the dribble. They suffocated us from the perimeter. Very few of our 3-point shots were uncontested. We played awful, but people so easily forget this UK team was #1 in KenPom pre-season for a reason. You can’t just chalk everything up to an automatic win.

Kentucky punched us in the mouth after the first media timeout and then this team never recovered. We played tight and nervous the rest of the way.

As much as Ziegler has helped in the past, he hurt us badly today. Missed lay-ups, and forced lay-ups. Plavy and maybe Vescovi only ones that seemed to really want it. Crowd seemed to be fairly quiet as well. Disappointing day all around. Good thing there is a lot of season left to go.

ZZ didn't play his best game but it wasn't from lack of effort. The biggest concern for me was guys just not bringing it. JJJ and ON

This was worse for me. Colorado they at least were still trying to gel. This was just a **** show
This one was worse because it was an SEC game, it was at home, and it ended our at home win streak.

But it and the loss to 11-7 Colorado are just reminders that this team will take games off and look like the HS team I watched last night.

You set yourself up when you expect a NC. Barnes has had better teams than this and been escorted out of the tourney. This year will be no different.

In March, you just need to lay one bad egg to end your season.

Well, it was a bad game at home. Officiating didn’t help but have to adjust to refs. But we missed a million layups and Vescovi missed frontend of an important 1x1. Got murdered on boards and James didn’t block out on a free throw late in the game which ended up as a bucket. Deserved to lose in my opinion and maybe will be a wake up call.

We are good but you just can’t trust our offense to play well for consecutive games during tournament time. Don’t like usage or lack thereof of Phillips on offense. I think they ran one play for him and shot went in and out. Awaka should play more.

Give Plavsic some credit. May have been his best game. I don’t think anyone else played particularly well.

Some young guys got their first taste of how the league treats Kentucky.

Julian Phillips, Awaka, Aidoo, Mashack all offered nothing in their minutes.

Santi had to take quite a few bad 3s cause of the shot clock, but we opened the game with the intensity we needed the entire game. Uros was the only guy who brought it the entire game.

Better now than in March, but a damn hard one to lose when Kentucky was missing players & we were hanging Lofton’s jersey.

Boy oh boy—-I hope the team lets this one simmer. They should absolutely be ticked off they let a wounded KY team come in and dictate the game. KY muddied it up and we stepped in it. At least 10pts in bunnies missed. Just bad guard play today. I thought defensively TN played good enough to win. Can’t wait to play them again.

I had a bad feeling about this game all week. People called me crazy. People said Kentucky sucks. I knew that Kentucky would play their best game of the season. That loss to South Carolina was rock bottom and we didn’t play focused basketball.

I felt the same way. All this talk of Tennessee being a future #1 seed made me want to throw up. It is simply ridiculous a this point in the season especially knowing how poorly Barnes coached teams perform in the NCAA tournament. I do hope I'm wrong but history tells me otherwise.

I know I am just more mad because UT just lost, but damn(with multiple cuss words not included). ON and Aidoo haven't had a worse game together this year. The showing from them was honestly weak and pathetic. James and Vescovi couldn't buy a 3, plus 6 to 7 blown layups. This loss hurts and Lofton deserved a win.

No disrespect to Uros, but when he's your best player--by far--you know it was a bad game. Literally, everybody on the team was poor except him. Vescovi was our 2nd leading scorer but he shot only 30 percent for the game. Our three-point shooting was absolutely terrible, kentucky out-rebounded us by a whopping 20, and the cats scored 15 more points from the FT line, which was essentially the difference in the game. We were dire.
